Redesigned web interview call screen

Candidates who join a web-based interview will now see a completely refreshed interface that mirrors the look and feel of our public site. The new layout brings a clearer status bar, centred red “End call” button, and simplified sound controls so candidates can focus on the conversation instead of the controls.

Behind the scenes, caption rows are now heavily optimised, ensuring smoother scrolling and crisper real-time subtitles without stressing the candidate’s device.

Improvements

Live captions now render up to 17× more efficiently, reducing on-screen redraws and cutting main-thread paint time from hundreds of milliseconds to just a few dozen.
