Automatic AI screening

When you publish a new job from a standalone or Workable-connected organisation, Joy now switches on AI screening by default.
Candidates are automatically evaluated as soon as they apply, helping you identify top talent sooner and reducing the manual review time for each application.

Improvements

  • Organisations can now enable or disable the Contact button and candidate campaigns independently from the Admin AI agent.
  • The signup form now checks email format to catch typos before they cause hard-bounce errors.
  • Interview calls use smarter model routing (Gemini Flash experiment and GPT-5.x pinning) for faster responses and clearer post-call summaries.
  • Admins can trigger a manual monthly billing run directly from the Billing page.
  • Long interview transcripts scroll more smoothly thanks to performance batching.
  • We have blocked the Barkrowler web scraper to reduce unnecessary traffic and improve site performance.

Fixes

  • Saving changes in Company settings no longer causes a crash, even with browser translation enabled.
  • Interview transcripts stay pinned to the latest line during long voice or web sessions.
  • Google or Microsoft sign-ins that don’t match an existing account are now rerouted gracefully instead of stopping on an error page.
  • Fixed a rare Retell slot leak that could leave phone screens hanging; calls now end cleanly if a network error occurs.
  • Scraper-generated malformed requests now return a safe 400 response instead of a 500 error on the candidate hub.
  • Gemini voice turns no longer get stuck in a "thinking" state and will not fail on empty history.
  • The notification panel only polls for updates when candidate messaging is enabled, reducing unnecessary network calls.
  • An empty “AI Recruiting Plan Details” card is no longer shown on the Billing page when no details are available.
